Peter Gaster appointed chairman of the Tyre Industry Federation
PETER Gaster has been appointed chairman of the Tyre Industry Federation, pledging to improve communication and understanding within the tyre sector.
Peter, who is also the current chairman of the National Tyre Distributors Association (NTDA), has represented the organisation on the TIF board for three years.
“NTDA continues to be totally supportive of the objectives of the TIF,” said Peter (pictured right). “I will ensure that TIF’s role as a forum to bring together the various sectors of our industry in the interests of better communication and understanding continues to be the cornerstone of the organisation.”
Peter is currently chief executive of Kings Road Tyres Group, a UK tyre wholesaler and regional tyre retailer based in West London.
He takes on the role from Jim Rickard of Michelin, who has been chairman of the board since 2005.
